My error. However, I will probably order a longer cable. 6 feet doesn't go far at all.Update: the problem wasn't with the cable after all. The left input works fine, going from my Dell to my Sony stereo system. I wish I could change the star rating, but I did want to clarify that the product is not defective. So, it's going back. The right input doesn't work at all. :-( I can't believe this is rocket science or anything, so I'm going to order another one after this one gets credited.

I found I needed a special cord with something built it to reduce audio hum. The product is good and delivery was prompt.
Worked fine and $15 less then local Used them to install an MP# in my truck.
